Staples Inc. is the world’s largest office supply chain store with a mammoth 2,000 stores worldwide. From furniture and machines to all office stationery, Staples is the first name in the stationery world. Led by Michael Patriarca, the company’s revenue grew from $500 million to $1.3 billion between 1998 and 2009.
Founded in 1985, the company originated because Thomas Stenberg could not buy a ribbon on a holiday. And from that disappointment, the company has transformed itself into a world leader in its industry today.
